WelcomeAide is a registered nonprofit society in British Columbia, Canada. We use artificial intelligence to help newcomers navigate settlement services, government programs, and community resources. Our AI-powered Navigator provides immediate, multilingual support so newcomers can find the information they need from day one.
Yes, all of WelcomeAide's services are completely free for newcomers. Our AI Navigator, workshops, community events, and resources are available at no cost. We are a nonprofit organization funded by donations, grants, and partnerships.
Our AI Navigator supports over 20 languages, including English, French, Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional), Arabic, Farsi, Punjabi, Hindi, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Bengali, Turkish, Burmese, Amharic, Nepali, and Ukrainian. We are continuously working to add more languages based on community needs.

WelcomeAide was founded by Erfan Aghdasi, who arrived in Canada as a newcomer in 2011 and experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating settlement services. The organization is built and maintained by a dedicated team of volunteers, advisors, and board members who are committed to helping newcomers succeed in British Columbia.
