British Columbia's BC PNP Tech Pilot is one of Canada's fastest immigration pathways for tech workers. With processing times as short as two weeks for job offer registration, this program is designed to rapidly attract and retain skilled technology workers in BC.

The Tech Pilot covers 29 NOC occupations including: Software engineers/designers (21231), Computer systems developers/programmers (21232), Web developers (21234), Database analysts (21223), Computer/information systems managers (20012), Cybersecurity specialists (21220), Data scientists (21211), Business systems specialists (21221), Computer engineers (21311), and more.
Eligibility Requirements
- Full-time, indeterminate job offer from a BC employer in an eligible tech occupation
- Minimum wage thresholds (check BCPNP calculator for your occupation)
- Minimum CLB 4 language proficiency
- At least 2 years of directly related work experience (Skilled Worker stream)
- International Graduates: graduated from eligible BC post-secondary institution within 3 years
How the BC PNP Tech Pilot Works
- Get a qualifying job offer from a BC employer
- Create an online profile on the BC PNP portal
- Register your job offer — processed within 2 weeks
- Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from BC PNP
- Submit full BC PNP nomination application
- Nomination adds 600 CRS points to your Express Entry profile
- Apply to IRCC for PR through Express Entry

BC PNP Tech Pilot operates through Express Entry. A nomination adds 600 CRS points, guaranteeing an ITA at the next Federal draw. You need an active Express Entry profile (FSW, CEC, or FSTC).
